It is May two. May my updates not bore you, for there are two very important ones.
First of all, Stardust Books has changed once more! You may or may not be familiar with Window: And other miscellaneous poems, by Swara Vartak (also known as Noodly Girl). The recent update added many more poems for us to read, so I wrote an acrostic poem in honor of it!
Poetry is Literature
Write a few words, or some more
It's never too late to write and adore
No amount of words is too little or too much
Do write, do read, but literature is more than it seems
Oh, the wonders of Poetry! Such a beautiful art
Wish it were more popular, right from the start
Congratulations on reaching 49 whole pages of poems, Noodly! Now onto the second update, about school.
Do you remember a post I wrote on August 1st, 2022? No? Well, you can read it via the button below before continuing this one. It talks about the problem with my music classes, and an update is long overdue.
No, I didn't continue Orchestra, but I was never offered an opportunity to join Chorus, either. I had P.E. and a new elective, French. It had never been offered before, but it's now for 7th grade (and Spanish is an elective 6th graders can be randomly assigned). It was a fun experience, and I got to learn more about French as the language and its culture, while also picking up some knowledge on how the high school language classes work for next year.
It's now the second semester, and I have Art and 'Inventions and Innovations', more commonly known as Tech or Engineering. I expected art to be like any other class, sometimes doing heavily guided drawings, other times doing assignments that didn't really feel like they fit into the class's boundaries, but it was the complete opposite. If I didn't have this class, I wouldn't have applied for the high school credit art class that my school offered to 8th graders, which I got accepted into early last week. For most projects, we're just told what the guidelines are, and are set free to draw it however we want! In some assignments, we're all on our own, but in others, everyone starts with the same baseline (in more technical/perspective drawings). Either way, it might be my favorite class this year.
That's it for Adventure Girl's Information Board for this month, and I'll see you soon. Remember, these posts are posted every one or two months. Now, go, do something useful with your life.
