It's september and slowly the day we're all dreading comes closer. Maybe it's already come. Maybe it hasn't. But it's coming. It's creeping closer waiting to strike. At first it will be fine and perhaps you will forget your dread, your longing for summer vacation to start again. But then, slowly it will get stronger, the pull of homework. It will eat away at your time. Still, it will be the beginning of the year, you will console yourself. Then, November, you'll start getting a lot. Then you'll enjoy winter holidays, christmas, new year. But then, it is there. January 2nd. The day that the excuses, the not much work, will all evaporate. You will be told by your teachers "Come, on it's January..." you will be expected to do things, to be used to it. Middle school will properly start to give you MUCH MUCH work, study, homework, all of it. Tests, Grades, Worksheets, it will be endless. Endlessly you will work past winter. Then with the coming of April, a much needed spring break... perhaps. (Do they have spring break in middle school?) If they do you will rest and enjoy dreading the day it ends. Then no more vacation, ENDLESS TOILING, WORK STUDIES. Finally finally it will be June. With the start of June you will have hope. Then, as we remember far too vividly, summer break. Then with the end of august and the beginning of september--- AGAIN A LOOP. AND 7TH GRADE.
However, there will be good parts, SUCH AS , for most of us going back to school in person. It will be very exciting to be sure.
