Hey there, it's AG with another poem for National Poetry Month! This time I REALLY branched out, on the poem prompt generator I got the word waitress, and I made this...
The Waitress
The waitress brought us our food
Politely, delicately, placed on the table
There was something about the note-taking or listening
Or maybe it was the food that was glistening
But something just stood out that time
That time when everything changed
I never went to a restaurant again
I never ate from the plate of others' cooked
Why? You may ask
But I have no clue
But something about the waitress
There was something about her
I don't even know the meaning of this poem, so feel free to comment your interpretation!
A few minutes later:
I just realized when I was younger I ran into a waiter and their plate hit my head and apparently it went deeply inside my forehead (I don't remember it thankfully), and there's still a scar to this day (I thought it was natural! But no, I was running around a restaurant...). Could that be the cause of this poem?
