Another poem

Stars

_______

It was midnight

Stars so bright

Everything coated in the full moon's light

What a sight! Constellations up so high

Shining like diamonds in the sky

They must go in the morning, I wonder why

Like glitter on the carpet of the sky

Far beyond the horizons of the eye

Yet our morning star is brightest

A ball of fire better that the rest

During day we see it shine so bright

Making earth thrive with it's pretty light

No competition nor reason to ponder

Our sun is a true wonder

Yet I find myself waiting for night

For two great bears one big one small

For lepus and orion shining so bright

And of course the moon best of all

They come-- they again they are gone

Sky as black as a raven

Moon light as a swan

And too soon it is dawn
