In the land of Whirrow, there are two cities. Before now, no one from either city has been to the other and have no contact with the other side. One city is called Here (pronounced HE-RAY) and the other is called There (THAY-RAY).
On The Other Side ________________________
Across the river
There is another city
All here envy those Think they look upon them with pity
They must have such luck! How splendid it must be! While we're stuck They must live so easily
Little do they know That on the other side They are filled with woe
I must confide
They think the same That across the river is glory and fame A crossing would make these dreams evaporate
Why bother to inquire, instead exaggerate
A long journey, but a peaceful one Pleasant days, cool winds, warm sun
The truth is not hiding from them They are hiding from the truth
Both sides think, we have it the worst
Our resources few,
Our castles cursed
If they only knew..
Two places, identical
Every blade of grass
It is purely theoretical
That they are in a different class
Yet people still refuse to question
Their minds are set on lies
They turn from any suggestion
Perhaps one day, they will open their eyes
They refuse to learn more, to explore! Hence,
The grass always seems greener on the other side of the fence
