There are 32 muscles in a cat's ear! What's more they can move each ear independently and rotate them almost 180 degrees! Cat's hearing is superior to humans, dogs and many other mammals. Cats can almost a full octave more than dogs, who only have about 18 muscles in their ears. They can hear noises from far away, about 4-5x further than humans! Cats have very sensitive ears
