The Weekly Tot 1/15/2023

Updated: Apr 1, 2023

Welp. You've caught me in an awkward position. A little after the due date... or a lot... and I haven't posted the Weekly Tot. In fact, I happen to have absolutely nothing prepared. So let's see how I can distract you from that fact.

Kay, let's make something up on the spot. errrr so.... I CAN DO THIS. YEP. IM NOODLY GIRL. COME ON. JUST HAVE TO WRITE...

The wind howled over the desolate landscape. The girl stood uncertainly on the wobbly rope bridge, towering mountain peaks sillhouetted behind her. Frost seemed to cut through her parka and straight into her soul. The sapphire sky was clouded by clouds, wielding deadly weapons with precision, the arsenal of hail ready to pound down on the mountains.

ummm what now. Lets think, why is this girl stranded on a wobbly rope bridge in the middle of the middle of nowhere. I... don't have an answer to that. WELP MORE DESCRIPTIONS.

She shivered, and continued on the bridge, her every step careful and measured. Tumbling from the bridge meant an icy death on the rocks below, frozen solid till the spring thaw buried her deep in the mountains.

You know what, this isn't really working, is it? Lets seeeeee.... a word... uhh VERNACULAR. YES. let me google that. kay so that's what it means. lets try and use it.

The glacial territories were unoccupied, home to the wilderness and any who dared to venture far enough into the icy mountains. Still, a few outposts remained among the tundra snows, tucked between precipices.

She peered at one of them, her eyes narrowing. She did not intend on going inside for fear of hostility from the residents. An old man sat outside the outpost eating a sandwich and caught sight of her. He said a few words and held out a flashlight. She had no idea how to speak the vernacular, so she simply nodded and took the torch from his hands. He hobbled away, clucking his tongue and muttering to himself. She looked down at the gift, grateful to have a source of light. Night was quickly falling over the mountains and she scurried back to the bridge to make camp on the other side... away from the outpost.

*yawn* Okay I think that's enough for now! Maybe this story will continue- lAtEr

Come back next week Noodly Out!
