My Idiosyncratic Area

Part 5: The Gown Store

My sister is getting married next month!

She's visiting my town, I'm helping her shop

We're going to Robe de Mariée, of course

But not without a couple...dramatic vortex

Appaline hasn't visited my area much

It's quite appalling, her sister lives here!

She doesn't know much about the way things work

So she's enlisted my help to navigate the ins and outs of the 'wedding dress capital'.

My sister said Robe de Mariée was a creative name

I helped my friend, the owner, come up with it!

While speaking, her eyes moved to the top of her head

I'd have to refer to Body Language 404 about that,

It's a book she gave me years and years ago

It was for Give Your Younger Sister a Self Help Book day, she said.

Either way, it was a wonderful day, but despite her delight when she tried on each gown,

Whichever ones I liked, she seemed to reject.

From now on, I'll be posting every other week, and if there's no other big events, expect another installment the week of the 19th!
