April 11th - National Poetry Month 2023

Hello there, readers! If you've been keeping up with our posts, you'll know about yesterday's challenge! For the rest of this month, I'll be posting a poem every weekday. More details are on yesterday's post, linked at the bottom of this one. Today's prompt was to write about lemons, with a happy mood, somehow mentioning nature! Here's my poem, what do you think?

Fallen Lemon

A lemon fell from the tree above

Gracefully flying

Slowly tumbling

A little child was walking by

Kicking stones across the path

Looking for something to do

The lemon dropped

Hit the child's head with a bop

It tumbled into her hand and she said

Let's start a lemonade stand!

Now for Noodly Girl's poem, When Life Gives You Lemons.

When Life Gives You Lemons

When life gives you lemons

Take out the seed

Plant an orchard

Remember to weed

Sell a thousand lemons

Make yourself rich

Then buy some oranges

And do it again

I hope you enjoyed reading our poems, and that you'll write one for this month's challenge! Poems are due 2 days before they will air, and the details for the requirements are on yesterday's post. Happy National Poetry Month!
