April 12th - National Poetry Month 2023

Hello there, and welcome back to my daily poems for National Poetry Month! Today's theme was flowers, had to relate to nature, and had no mood challenges, so this is what I wrote!

Stone Flower

Blank

Page

Cold

Stare

What

Will

Be

Come

Tulips exchanged

Fallen on the sidewalk

Stepped on by labradors

Chewed up by robins

The blank slate of cold stone waited patiently.

Tulip floated into the air

Intertwined with the elegant maple

Clinging to the branches

The page turned

The stone broke

Light shone in every direction

Swallowed the tulip whole

How did you like it? (Yes, I will take any chance I can to write a dark poem.) Please send your feedback in the chat in the bottom right corner, or message me privately. I hope to see more poems this month, and the button below links to the challenge and submission process. Happy National Poetry Month!
